Accessibility Services and Accommodation Policy
At Anime Crossroads, we aim to create an environment that’s welcoming and accessible for all attendees. Our most important goal is to ensure that everyone can fully enjoy and participate in our convention, regardless of their individual needs. To ensure this is possible, we offer a wide range of accommodations to remove as many obstacles as possible that may prevent attendees from enjoying our event. These accommodations include accessible parking and early access seating that accommodates various mobility, visual impairment, and hearing needs.
Personal Care Assistant
We understand that some individuals with disabilities may need extra help with travel, movement, or other tasks. If you qualify or ADA accommodation, you may elect one (1) Personal Car Assistant (PCA) who will also have access to the event and assist you.
Seating Accommodations
If you need specific seating arrangements, please arrive at least 15 minutes before the event starts. The Embassy Suites and Conference Center complies with all ADA requirements, and each event space has at least one (1) wheelchair-accessible seat. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend lining up early for the best options. When you reach the front of the line, show your badge and let the staff know you need assistance finding accessible seating. If preferred seating is not available, our staff will do their best to assist you.
Hearing Accommodation
Anime Crossroads does not provide Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing live transcription at this time. We recommend Google Live Transcribe as it provides real-time written transcripts for attendees who are hearing impaired. For those who are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing, a PCA can be elected by the individual and serve as a private interpreter. The PCA will receive a free 3-Day Badge to attend the event and assist with interpretation.
Service Animals
We welcome service animals trained to assist individuals with disabilities. Service animals are allowed in all public areas of the convention center. Handlers are responsible for the care, supervision, and behavior of their animals, ensuring they do not cause disruptions or pose a safety risk. Service animals do not need to be licensed, and handlers are not required to disclose the specific disability. If asked, simply explain that the animal is a service animal and is performing a task for medical reasons. Handlers are also responsible for cleaning up after their animals. In cases where an animal becomes a safety concern, the Embassy Suites & Conference Center, their staff, and/or the Anime Crossroads management team will make the final decision on accommodations and safety.
General Information
Anime Crossroads is dedicated to providing a great experience for all attendees. However, due to high demand for some events, it may not always be possible to provide accommodations that would allow full participation in every event. If you have questions or need assistance, please email operations@animecrossroads.com, speak with a member of Anime Crossroads Staff, or visit the Safety Help Desk during the event.
During the convention, the Anime Crossroads Safety Team will provide a Unique Accessibility Sticker (UAS) to any attendee who requests ADA accommodation. These stickers can be requested at the Safety Help Desk during Anime Crossroads. This sticker must be placed on the attendee badge, however, is not required to be on the front as to maintain individual privacy.
