MadameWario is a content creator, dancer, and cosplay artist from Indianapolis, IN. She has been dancing since 2 years old, and before dabbling in cosplay, Madame started out as a Let’s Player on YouTube in 2010. She attended her first convention (Ohayocon) in 2011, where she was initially exposed to cosplay. Her debut cosplay was Bellatrix Lestrange (Harry Potter) at a college event later that same year. In 2014, she entered her first cosplay battle at MAGFest in National Harbor, MD as Flareon (Pokemon), where she was named a quarter finalist. She then went on to perform at Anime Crossroads in 2016 as Jigglypuff (Pokemon) alongside her sister MadameToadstool, where the two took home the award for Best Skit.
Ever since, M-Dub has been dancing down the hallways and all over the stages of every con she possibly can in the US and Canada. She is known for her unusual concepts and for gender bending male characters into female legends. Some notable award-winning cosplays of MW’s have been DDR (the game), N64 (the console), Shadow Heartless (Kingdom Hearts), and, most recently, Powerline Max Goof (A Goofy Movie). When she’s not cosplaying, you can find MW getting tangled in yarn while wielding a crochet hook, and streaming on Twitch throughout the week, sharing her love of nerd-culture with the world. MW thanks her sister for sharing the stage with her over the years, her husband OdinSpack for his endless support, and her incredible online community for being the reason she is able to do what she loves.
