COST-CUTTING COSPLAY

This is a fun Sunday event open to all participants, including those who entered the Hall Contest or the Masquerade. This event celebrates creativity and frugality in cosplay!

There are two divisions. You may enter either, but not both. There are no skill tiers; all participants compete together.

FOUND OBJECT COSPLAY

The goal is to look as good and as accurate as possible by modifying purchased or re-purposed clothing. The majority of the costume must be made of commercially-available items, original or modified. Contestants are judged on quality of the finished product; this is a type of craftsmanship competition.

GHETTO COSPLAY

The goal is to produce a costume as cheaply as possible! No sewing allowed -- all construction must be accomplished by duct tape, glue, safety pins, whatever it takes! Costumes may include some commercially-available items as well. Contestants are judged both on the finished look and pure audacity.

Contestants should bring a reference image for judging. Pre-registration is not required for this event; please report Sunday morning for judging and fashion show (see program for details).
